no time at all
I really enjoyed taking time off when Mom was here - and would have liked to take even more - but the downside is that there is no one at work to pick up the slack when I am off - a real quandry when there are no other employees and not even the possibility of student help. Therefore, the daily work just accumulates and I end up working EXTRA to make up for being off. Kind of defeats the purpose of days off in my mind.
Big sigh!

chalk another one up for the miller clan
but it hadn't. and although bud is still - and always will be - at risk... he made it through one more time. more meds added to his regime - he needs to watch his pressure closer - he is more unstable and needs his cane - but he is recovering.
the kids were right there with him - family is wonderful. we are lucky - and blessed.

the sun still shines
i was looking over my calendar this morning and realized that it is filling up too quickly. in my quest for some organization in my life i have 'scheduled' more than i planned.
anyone up for a mid-winter cleaning of my upstairs rooms? i am not shooting for organized perfection, but just for entrance possibility. as of now you have to climb over two fans, three boxes, garbage bags of clothes and piles of gift bags - putting life and limb at risk with every move. i believe nick came close to that broken limb experience - or worse - when he tried to navigate down the stairs carrying a high chair. luckily none of the little ones were in the vicinity as the heavy and large chair came tumbling down ahead of and without him. so.......if you become bored and want to spend some saturday or sunday going through boxes and bags i will welcome all - and possibly feed?
