It has been a long time since i posted anything on this blog - but time has been pretty short as we try to get back into the regular world and catch up on life. Bud is really home now - has been home for 1 week and 5 days. I am hoping and planning that this time we more than beat his record of two weeks home (between hospitalization 2 and 3 of the year) - and maybe even make this return home permanent.We now host a ramp into our house - and a curtain in place of a door for our bathroom (all part of making the home wheelchair accessible). The curtain is a little odd - but as we hope the wheelchair is a temporary change, there WILL be a door put back in later. Bud gets rehab in the home a couple times a week - and theoretically in 3 weeks, will be able to put weight on his arm and use a walker - so sayeth the surgeon as of Friday. We have actually gotten Bud out of the house a couple times now - and here is a picture posted from a trip to an apple orchard with Katie and Rick and the girls. All was fun.
Time is going by so quickly - seems impossible to imagine ever catching up, but no matter what else falls behind, we hope to spend lots of time with our kids and grandkids. Nothing else is as important.
